Getting to the Centre From the Airport

Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) is just beyond Berlin's city limits in Zone C, so the cheapest and fastest way to get to the centre is by local train. RB14 or RE7 is your best bet – they run every hour between 5am and 11pm, departing from the lower floor of the airport, and stop at Alexanderplatz, Berlin Central Station (Hauptbahnhof), the zoo, and Charlottenburg. Getting to Friedrichstrasse – the closest station to where we begin our tour – takes just 28 minutes.

Tickets for zones A, B, and C can be purchased and punched at a ticket machine right on the platform. Alternatively, you can download the BVG tickets app and use your phone. Single tickets cost €3.80 – to learn more about pricing, see our "Berlin Public Transport" section.

If you'd prefer to get a taxi, you'll find plenty waiting in the taxi rank right outside the terminal exit. It takes about 35 minutes to get to Bebelplatz, which will cost you around €60.
